Job Summary

Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) in cardiology. Acts as a physician extender supporting patient care across walk-in clinic, hospital rotation, and outpatient office with responsibilities split between office and hospital. Responsibilities include assessing histories and clinical findings to develop diagnoses and treatment plans, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (including EKGs), maintaining patient confidentiality, performing peer-to-peer reviews as per insurance requirements, serving as a clinical resource alongside RNs, and contributing to the development of cardiac care protocols and policies. Requires active PA/NP license in PA, 4-5 years' experience in ED/hospital/outpatient settings (cardiology experience preferred), ACLS/BLS, EMR experience, and strong communication skills. Sign-on bonus available.”,

Required Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license
  • Minimum 4-5 years' experience in an Emergency Department, hospital or outpatient setting; additional cardiology experience preferred
  • Ability to multitask and work collaboratively with RN and support staff
  • Positive, professional demeanor
  • Active ACLS and BLS Certification
  • Familiar with medical emergencies and appropriate treatment
  • Computer knowledge
  • Experience with an EMR system
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
