Job Summary
Manage a cohort of pediatric patients with allergic and immunologic conditions through comprehensive assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care. Utilize advanced assessment skills to perform daily evaluations, collect data, and formulate family-centered plans of care. Modify treatment strategies based on patient response and monitor the effectiveness of prescribed interventions. Execute advanced procedures as outlined in the Scope of Practice Document and serve as an educational resource for patients, families, nursing staff, and the multidisciplinary provider team. Act as a consultant to the health care team and participate in scholarly activities, research, and professional development while mentoring nurses and students. Maintain patient safety by reporting errors and advocating for practice changes.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree Nursing
- Prior Nurse Practitioner experience
- Strong clinical assessment skills
- Interest in caring for patients with immunology conditions
- Pennsylvania licensure
- Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) - Pennsylvania State Licensing Board - upon hire
- Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) (Pennsylvania) - Pennsylvania State Licensing Board - upon hire
- Prescriptive Authority (Pennsylvania) - Pennsylvania State Licensing Board - within 3 months
- Specialty Certification - as a Nurse Practitioner in area of education/subspecialty - upon hire
- Ability to work in an inter-professional team setting with multiple responsibilities
- Ability to use computer and electronic medical records effectively
- Annual influenza vaccine
