Job Summary
Assess health status of assigned study subjects by performing medical histories, analyzing laboratory results, and conducting physical examinations including pelvic exams, colposcopy, and biopsies. Administer medications per protocol and implement, evaluate, and monitor research protocols to ensure safe and competent care. Conduct clinical activities such as Fibroscans and pulmonary function testing while maintaining accurate records and completing protocol forms. Train on study procedures and provide direct subject care in collaboration with the research team. Manage clinical inventory, order supplies, and maintain clinical logs. Work with medical staff to ensure regulatory compliance and human subject protection standards are met.
Required Qualifications
- License to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in NYS
- Master's Degree
- 5 yrs patient management experience in clinical and/or research
- Competency in the use of MS Office and EPIC
- CITI certification
- CME's for licensure
- Must maintain CITI certification and CME's for licensure
- Perform phlebotomy
- Must be able to work with a research team including principal investigator, project director, data manager, study coordinators, research assistants, laboratory personnel as well as other clinicians and investigators
- Must be able to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to change
- Use standards of good clinical practice
- Familiarity with database utilization, regulatory compliance and human subject's protection issues
Desired Qualifications
- designation as a Family Nurse Practitioner
- AANC or AANP Board Certification
