Job Summary
As part of the ACT Team/OPT in Lumberton, NC, you'll provide direct psychiatric care as a Nurse Practitioner (FNP/PMHNP) or PA, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support patients with serious mental illness through assessments, medication management, and treatment planning. You will participate in team meetings, educate care team members on medications and health conditions, ensure HIPAA-compliant documentation, and offer after-hours psychiatric back-up as needed. The role emphasizes integrated care, shared decision-making in medication choices, community-based patient engagement, and maintaining regulatory compliance while delivering consistent, high-quality psychiatric services.
Required Qualifications
- Nurse Practitioner (FNP or PMHNP) with a current NC license
- Current/Active DEA license/certification
- Be an approved Medicaid biller or eligible to become an approved Medicaid biller
- Three years full-time experience treating individuals with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI)
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with strong verbal skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license and minimum state required liability auto insurance
- Local travel is required
- Proficiency with electronic records management
