Job Summary
Nurse Practitioner position at CVHS in Farmville, VA delivering comprehensive nursing and medical care in a high-volume, team-oriented setting. Responsibilities include assessing patients and families, conducting examinations, interpreting tests, diagnosing ailments, prescribing medications per state licensure and protocol, directing preventive health programs, maintaining thorough medical records, collaborating with physicians and other health professionals, and contributing to quality assurance efforts. Requires NP certification and Virginia RN licensure. The role supports loan repayment programs (PSLF eligible), a robust benefits package, and on-site on-call duties with a Monday–Friday schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Certification by the American Nurses Association or another respected and appropriate authority as an Adult, Family or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
- Licensed as an RN in the State of Virginia
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Graduate of an approved program of instruction for Adult, Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioners
- Certification as an Adult, Family or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner if required by the State of Virginia
- Please note: two years’ experience as a Nurse Practitioner is preferred
