Job Summary
Under supervision of a Physician, provides nursing care to patients across the lifespan (neonatal to geriatric) including direct skilled nursing care, assessment, and planning. Administers medications as ordered by a licensed provider, follows the Five Rights of safe medication administration, responds to emergencies, maintains clinical competencies through continuing education, and documents patient information in medical records. Maintains a clean and safe environment, adheres to Universal Precautions, participates in quality improvement, and upholds patient rights and confidentiality. Requires graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, current Ohio RN licensure, and BCLS certification. Proficiency in performing phlebotomy, EKG, vital signs, and various medication administration routes, plus experience with EMR systems (IDX, Meditech) is expected. LMHS emphasizes mission-driven care, patient safety, and collaborative teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited School of Nursing program
- Current licensure in State of Ohio
- BCLS certification
- Follows Nurse Practice Act
- Demonstrates ability to perform phlebotomy, EKG, vital signs, medication administration (oral, nebulizer, IM, SQ) as applicable to practice setting
- Proficient with office machines and EMR systems (IDX, EMR, Meditech)
- Demonstrates ability to type proficiently
