Job Summary
Assess, monitor, and document patients' medical histories, vital signs, and symptoms to determine care needs in an urgent care setting. Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments as prescribed while performing diagnostic tests such as EKGs, blood draws, and X-rays. Provide wound care, suturing, and minor injury management, and collaborate with physicians and other staff to develop patient care plans. Respond promptly to medical emergencies, triage critical cases, and escalate issues as needed. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and educate patients on health conditions and preventive care. Ensure a clean, safe environment by sterilizing equipment and managing patient flow during busy hours. Valid LPN or RN license required with CPR certification; ACLS and PALS preferred for RNs. Flexible schedule includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Valid LPN license in the state of employment
- CPR certification
- First Aid certification
- Valid RN license in the state of employment
- CPR certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- Willingness to obtain ACLS and PALS certifications
- Prior experience in urgent care or fast-paced healthcare settings
- Prior experience in urgent care, emergency departments, or similar settings
- Strong clinical skills
