Job Summary
Nurse Paralegal to join DBL Law in Covington, KY. Responsibilities include consulting, researching, and analyzing medical records; creating chronology and summaries; researching medical literature; educating attorneys on anatomy and pathophysiology; analyzing deposition data; supporting pre-trial and trial activities; investigating medical billing irregularities; researching medical experts; conducting document reviews; and direct client communication. Requires an RN with strong legal/medical record experience; BSN preferred; Legal Nurse Consultant Certification preferred; proficiency with MS Office, Nuance PDF Converter, iManage/WorkSite, and secure e-mail; ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines; strong analytical, research, proofreading, and communication skills; attention to detail; and confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
- BSN preferred
- Experience reviewing medical records
- Legal Nurse Consultant Certification preferred
- Prior demonstrated experience in nursing
- Legal field experience preferred
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Nuance PDF Converter
- iManage/WorkSite
- Secure e-mail
