Job Summary
The Nurse Paralegal supports attorneys by reviewing and organizing medical records, preparing detailed chronologies, conducting medical research, and analyzing treatment data to support case strategy. This role also assists with expert coordination, prepares materials for hearings and trials, issues medical record requests, and manages communication with counsel, clients, and vendors. Key duties include recording daily billable time, organizing and analyzing medical files, updating chronologies, performing medical research, analyzing pharmacy and medical bills for consistency, deciphering handwritten notes, locating and interviewing parties and witnesses, preparing materials for meetings, hearings, depositions, and trials, issuing Non-Party Requests for records with Certification of Authenticity, and maintaining communication with opposing and co-counsel, clients, insureds, experts, court personnel, and vendors. Core competencies include clear communication, conflict management, professionalism, and planning & priority setting. Additional duties may be assigned by management.
