Job Summary
Prepare the operating room, verify patient information, and ensure essential equipment and supplies are available to maintain a safe, orderly surgical environment. Anticipate the needs of the surgical and anesthesia teams, support them throughout each procedure, maintain accurate documentation, and act as the patient's advocate from arrival to transfer. This Registered Nurse - PRN role operates in the high-acuity Operating Room at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO, requiring strong attention to detail, sound clinical judgment, and clear communication. Current RN licensure and Basic Life Support certification are required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
