Job Summary
Support a 12-year-old boy with type one diabetes across school and family home settings. Manage medical needs throughout the day, including recording activities and food intake, checking sugar levels, and administering hypo support. Provide care during three weekday full days from 8:15am to 5:30pm, Saturday full-day shifts, and half of school holidays. Deliver waking night support monthly and assist with physical sports and age-appropriate activities. Maintain a clear understanding of the condition and ensure the child's wellbeing. This role requires recent professional medical or diabetic experience, a clear DBS check, and right to work.
Required Qualifications
- previous experience supporting children / young people with medical conditions
- relevantly qualified and experienced to offer full medical support to a child with diabetes with a clear understanding of the condition
- Checkable relevant career history
