Job Summary
Conduct patient care on the Neuro/Pulmonary Stroke Unit, managing COPD, respiratory failure, asthma, and pneumonia patients requiring complex assessments, high-flow oxygen, BiPAP, tracheostomies, or chest tubes. Perform frequent neurological assessments for acute stroke and TIA patients, collaborate with the Stroke Coordinator, and provide stroke education while utilizing tele-neuro services as needed. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients, coordinate care with other departments, and ensure patient rights and confidentiality. Work 36 hours per week on night shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
