Job Summary
Design, develop, implement, and evaluate educational offerings to improve clinical care and organizational outcomes. Coach and mentor staff to become expert clinicians, critical thinkers, and leaders while serving as a staff and patient advocate. Collaborate with leadership to support professional nursing practice through the creation of training programs and the application of adult learning principles. This role requires a current PA RN license, BLS certification, and three years of recent clinical practice. The position is exempt and involves frequent exposure to noise and bloodborne pathogens, with occasional standing and walking.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current PA RN license
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS
- Three years of recent clinical practice
Desired Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- ACLS preferred or certification within 2 years if working with critical care units
- PALS preferred or certification within 2 years if working with units which serve pediatric patients
- Neonatal Resuscitation preferred or certification within 2 years if working with units which serve neonates
- BLS Instructor Certification if teaching CPR and/or overseeing Heart code BLS
- ACLS Instructor Certification if teaching ACLS and/or overseeing Heart code ACLS
- NRP Instructor Certification if teaching NRP and or/ overseeing NRP training
- FHM Instructor (Fetal Heart Monitoring) if teaching FHM and/or overseeing FHM training
- Act33/73 clearances
- Previous experience in a role as an educator
- Knowledge and previous application of adult learning principles
- Previous experience working with multidisciplinary teams or leadership committees
- Experience with computer based learning and technologies
