Job Summary
Nurse Navigator role focused on cancer center navigation and intake. Responsible for assessing new patients referred to oncology, coordinating intake and treatment planning, ensuring timely access to diagnostic studies, and facilitating care coordination across multidisciplinary teams. Requires nursing expertise, strong documentation in EMR, patient education and emotional support, collaboration with physicians and schedulers, and participation in quality improvement initiatives. Proven ability to coordinate care, advocate for patients throughout the treatment journey, and maintain knowledge of current trends and resources in oncology navigation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree Nursing
- 3 or more years of nursing experience
- Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) - Multi-State
- Must have current active multistate RN license in state in which you live
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
