Job Summary
Triage new patient appointments to appropriate providers and assure timely scheduling of initial visits. Review outside medical records for scheduling accuracy and assess barriers to care by referring patients to support services and local or national organizations. Educate patients on treatment plans based on diagnosis and counsel individuals on positive health practices. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to outline best treatment options and perform holistic evaluations of specialty populations. Mentor healthcare professionals by functioning as a preceptor or coordinating preceptors for students, new graduates, and orienteers. Maintain professional knowledge through continuing education and adhere to university policies while safeguarding assets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
- Valid State of Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
- Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
- Skill in collecting, organizing and analyzing data
- Proficiency in computer software (i.e., Microsoft Office)
