Job Summary
Nurse Manager of Surgical Services at Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA overseeing an 8-bed operating room with services including General, Bariatric, Vascular, Orthopedic, GYN, Podiatry and plans to expand. Responsible for daily operations of one or more clinical areas, supervising patient-care staff, ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes, interviewing and developing staff, coordinating purchasing and payroll processes, budgeting, and serving as a clinical resource. Requires BSN with RN licensure; MSN preferred and CNOR preferred. Must have approximately 45 direct reports and be available for occasional evenings, weekends, and night coverage; strong leadership and communication skills needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- RN licensure required
- MSN preferred
- CNOR certification preferred
- 3 years of nursing experience in the OR required
- 3 years of supervisory experience required
- 5+ years of nursing experience preferred
