Job Summary
Nurse Manager leads daily nursing unit operations in an Inpatient Rehabilitation hospital, providing frontline leadership, coaching, staffing coordination, and oversight of patient safety and nursing standards. Responsibilities include real-time staff support, unit rounds to identify barriers, staffing adjustments based on census and acuity, enforcement of nursing care processes, onboarding and development of staff, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient patient care. Skills include coaching, performance feedback, auditing and adherence to regulatory standards, effective communication, and workforce management. Education emphasizes RN licensure with a Bachelor’s degree preferred; strong leadership and change-management abilities are required.
