Job Summary
Oversee daily operations of the Surgical ICU nursing unit, ensuring high-quality patient care delivery and managing nursing staff. Coordinate with healthcare professionals, implement nursing policies and procedures, and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations. Apply AONL Nurse Leader Core Competencies across professional standards, communication, and business principles. Requires a Baccalaureate degree in nursing with at least three years of staff or charge nurse experience, current New Jersey licensure, and specialty certification within three years. Master's degree preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Baccalaureate Degree
- At least three years of experience as staff nurse or charge nurse
- Current licensure of the State of New Jersey
- American Heart Association BLS
- National Certification in specialty area
- Mental capacity to perform responsibilities
- Able to walk briskly, stand and lean over
- Able to lift moderate weight
- Has quick reaction to prevent injury to patient or self
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Additional preparation and expertise demonstrated in management principles and clinical nursing skills
- American Heart Association ACLS
