Nurse Manager

Manage day-to-day operations of the med/surg department by directing staff, developing long-term planning, and collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams. Administer patient care procedures, distribute medications, and implement patient plans of care while assessing symptoms and reporting changes to physicians. Maintain nursing operations by recruiting, training, scheduling, and coaching employees; enforce policies and ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards. Respond quickly to emergency situations, resolve patient needs, and participate in performance improvement activities and committee meetings. Work the floor as needed, delegate tasks safely, and maintain accurate documentation. Requires current RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications with five years of RN experience and two years of supervisory experience.
