Job Summary
Manage daily operations of the 20-bed Surgical Trauma ICU, advocating for resource allocation to ensure safe, quality nursing care. Integrate clinical, human resource, and financial data to support decision-making while promoting evidence-based practice and regulatory compliance. Lead supervision and coordination of clinical care, collaborating with nursing leadership on organizational planning and initiative evaluation. Recruit and acclimate new employees by fostering a supportive environment that promotes staff growth and retention. Contribute to professional development for staff, students, and colleagues within the Mission Health culture.
Required Qualifications
- BSN or equivalent (ADN with MSN, BA with MSN)
- Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing
- eNLC (Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact) license
- National Certification in area of specialty within one year of accepting the role
- BLS Healthcare
- A minimum of five years of recent nursing experience
- 2 years in relevant clinical hospital experience with demonstrated leadership skills
