Job Summary
The Nurse Manager leads the nursing department in Sea Mar’s medical clinics, supervising RNs, LPNs, and medical assistants to ensure quality, patient-centered care and adherence to organizational policies. Responsibilities include coordinating nursing roles, achieving clinical quality measures and provider productivity targets (18-21 patients per day), overseeing staff training and competency, implementing evidence-based practices, ensuring infection control and medication management, conducting nursing audits, and managing clinic operations in collaboration with the Clinic Manager and Medical Director. The role emphasizes leadership in ambulatory care, adherence to AIDET standards, participation in quality improvement (PDSA cycles and clinical quality measures), regulatory compliance, and staff development to deliver high-quality patient experiences across diverse populations. The position requires active RN licensure in Washington (LPNs considered with equivalent experience) and strong clinical leadership in an ambulatory setting.
Required Qualifications
- Must have graduated from an accredited college or university with an active RN license in the state of Washington
- LPNs will be considered if they possess equivalent experience
- Ambulatory care and supervisory experience highly preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly desired
- Ability to read and write proficiently in English
- Must have strong leadership and management skills with a strong clinical background in ambulatory care
- Must be able to interact sensitively and effectively with people of diverse backgrounds
- Must be able to perform procedures such as IV access, pediatric and adult catheterization
- Must possess strong problem solving abilities and clear written/verbal communication
- Must calculate medical dosages (mg to ml) and analyze data for reports
- Proficient with Sea Mar’s patient management and electronic health records systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; willingness to use SharePoint, Arcadia, One Health Portal, Health Plan Finder, EHR systems
