Job Summary
Assume 24-hour responsibility and accountability for resident care, handling emergency calls and informing the Director of Nursing and Administrator when appropriate. Oversee daily assignments for staff, attend daily stand-up meetings, and review 24-hour reports with nurses and supervisors. Manage the interviewing and hiring process for all new candidates. Complete other duties as assigned. This role requires a current unencumbered Virginia RN license, CPR certification, and three years of long-term care experience with one year of supervisory experience preferred. Required Qualifications
- Current unencumbered license to work as an RN in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Current CPR Certification
- Three years experience in long-term care facility
- One-year supervisory experience
- Extensive dementia experience
- Knowledge and experience related to the physical and emotional needs of the elderly
- Knowledge of the laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to Assisted Living
- Ability to safely perform all essential job functions without harm to self or others with or without reasonable accommodations
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Proficiency in e-mail
- Proficiency in other general computer systems
