Job Summary
Nurse Manager, Physician Practice (OB/GYN) oversees the clinical staff in the OB/GYN physician practice, including managing, scheduling, and assessing performance; ensures regulatory compliance with JCAHO, CMS, IHI, CAP, and other standards; develops staffing plans, budgets, and educational opportunities; identifies research protocols and staff development needs; leads monthly staff meetings to discuss equipment, scheduling, goals, and performance metrics; and identifies potential successors for the Nurse Manager role. The role requires a BSN, NY RN license, 6-8 years of experience with 2-5 years in leadership/management, and preferred OB/GYN/Labor and Delivery background.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required
- Specialized certifications as needed
- 6-8 years of relevant experience and 2-5 years of leadership/management experience required
- Previous experience in Labor and Delivery, Antepartum, OB/GYN highly preferred
