Job Summary
Organize and administer individualized nursing care, maintaining smooth workflow across all shifts while supervising nursing students, nurses, nursing assistants, and mental health technicians. Observe, coach, and evaluate staff; participate in the Performance Enhancement process and task forces. Manage pharmacy services, administer medications, and oversee infection control and disaster plans. Respond to emergency situations, direct special precautions for aggressive patients, and prepare scheduling and midnight census. Provide patient teaching, discharge planning, and educational literature.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in PA
- Current CPR certification
- Knowledge of Joint Commission standards
- Microsoft Office Proficient
- Ability to work in a supportive, caring and non-judgmental manner with staff and patients
- Ability to care plan and identify appropriate nursing interventions
- Client focused
- Team oriented
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexible to sudden changes in workload, emergency or staffing
- Dependable
- Problem solving skills
- Focused on compliance and performance quality
- Light work – lifting 25 lbs maximum
Desired Qualifications
