Job Summary
Nurse Manager to supervise RNs, LPNs, and medical assistants across multiple primary care and specialty services in a federally qualified health center network. Oversee daily clinical operations, staff scheduling, and performance evaluations; ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (infection control, patient safety, documentation standards); drive quality improvement initiatives and monitor clinical quality metrics; collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and administrative leadership to optimize workflows and patient outcomes; manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment; coordinate orientation and ongoing education for nursing staff; participate in emergency preparedness planning and response; serve as liaison between nursing staff and upper management to communicate goals and updates.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Nursing or equivalent Bachelor's Degree
- Current NYS Registered Nurse License
- Experience in nursing leadership, supervisory, or management roles within a community health center, hospital, or outpatient setting is preferred
- Proficient in staff scheduling, performance evaluation, quality improvement initiatives, electronic health records (EHR), and regulatory compliance (e.g., DOH, OSHA, CDC guidelines)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to supervise diverse nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, medical assistants) and coordinate with physicians and administrative leadership
