Job Summary

Lead the clinical, operational, and administrative management of the outpatient infusion department, overseeing staff performance, recruitment, and competency assessments. Direct daily operations including patient flow, staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation while ensuring compliance with Joint Commission standards, infection prevention protocols, and federal regulations. Recruit, mentor, and evaluate clinical staff, develop quality improvement initiatives, and manage departmental budgets and supply utilization. Collaborate with physicians, pharmacy, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize workflows and improve patient outcomes in chemotherapy and immunotherapy services.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Current New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Certification
  • Minimum of five years of progressive nursing experience
  • Recent oncology and/or hematology nursing experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of outpatient oncology and hematology infusion services, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biologic therapies, blood product administration, and supportive care
  • Strong understanding of oncology nursing standards, infusion safety practices, and regulatory requirements
  • Proven leadership, coaching, conflict resolution, and team-building skills
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities
  • Experience with budgeting, productivity management, workforce planning, and performance improvement
  • Ability to analyze operational and clinical data to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care, employee engagement, and clinical excellence

Desired Qualifications

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Previous leadership experience as a Charge Nurse, Assistant Nurse Manager, Nurse Manager, or similar healthcare leadership role
  • Experience managing or leading an outpatient infusion center, oncology practice, ambulatory infusion department, or related specialty
  • Demonstrated experience with quality improvement, regulatory compliance, staff development, and operational management
  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN®) certification
