Job Summary
Provide leadership and direction to nursing and support staff in the Emergency Department, overseeing scheduling, staffing, and performance evaluations. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, hospital policies, and best practices while fostering a patient-centered care environment emphasizing safety and efficiency. Collaborate with physicians and department leaders to lead quality improvement initiatives and strategic planning. Serve as a mentor for clinical staff, promoting professional development and education. Requires current Illinois RN license, BSN, and minimum five years of emergency nursing experience with two years in a leadership role.
Required Qualifications
- Current Illinois RN license
- BSN
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience in Emergency Services
- At least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- BLS certification
- Knowledge of CMS
- Knowledge of Joint Commission
- Knowledge of other relevant regulatory requirements
Desired Qualifications
- MSN or Master's in Healthcare Administration
- TNCC certification
- Strong leadership skills
