Job Summary
Nurse Manager of Emergency Services responsible for planning, organizing, delegating, directing, negotiating and evaluating Emergency Department services in support of hospital goals. Leads collaboration across patients, physicians, staff, volunteers and vendors; develops policies to improve patient care quality, efficiency, and effectiveness; ensures effective communication and alignment with medical staff and other disciplines. Requires a BSN with current Texas RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS within specified windows, additional certifications (TNCC, ENPC or CEN), and extensive management experience in a hospital emergency department setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Current RN License in the State of Texas or compact license
- AHA or ARC BLS provider
- AHA or ARC ACLS and PALS within 6 months
- TNCC within 18 months
- ENPC or CEN within 18 months
- Five years of progressive management experience (staff supervision, budget preparation, physician relationship management, operational/patient care issue resolution, quality improvement, multi-disciplinary coordination)
