Job Summary
Operate the 24/7 Emergency Department and Clinical Decision Unit, managing staff to promote safe nursing practice and intervening as needed. Maintain operational aspects of the unit by participating in budget preparation and monitoring resources. Collaborate with human resources to hire and evaluate staff, resolve issues, and attend management meetings and departmental committees. Serve as a clinical and technical resource and role model for staff, applying knowledge to daily practice. Requires 5+ years of RN experience in the Emergency Department, a BSN degree, and active New York RN licensure.
Required Qualifications
- Passion for Emergency Room Nursing
- 5+ years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience in Emergency Department
- 2+ years of progressive nurse leadership experience in an Emergency Department
- Clinical expertise in Emergency Nursing, both adult and pediatric
- Knowledge of regulatory agencies and best practices
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
- New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- TNCC certification
Desired Qualifications
- Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- CEN certification
- NEA certification
