Job Summary
Nurse Manager for the Blood Cancer Unit oversees department operations and ensures alignment with hospital goals. Responsibilities include identifying cost-effective systems to support the department, managing resources and budgets, and building effective relationships with patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors. The role collaborates with Senior Management to meet facility and unit objectives, analyzes customer satisfaction data and staff engagement, and drives continuous improvement. Must hold an active RN license in Texas (or compact) with BLS and ACLS within 12 months, and have strong leadership, budgeting, personnel management, and clinical operations skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Five years management experience to include management of personnel, payroll, budgets, capital, business planning, marketing, physician relations and management of supervisory positions.
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license.
- Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS Provider.
- ACLS required within 12 months of hire.
