Job Summary
Nurse Manager - Blood Cancer Unit responsible for all department functions to support hospital goals and Blood Cancer/Stem Cell services. Builds cost-effective systems, collaborates with patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors; drives continuous improvements using customer satisfaction data and staff involvement. Requires leadership in managing personnel, budgets, and clinical operations within the Blood Cancer and Stem Cell Unit; ACLS and BLS certifications required within specified timelines; Texas RN license (compact accepted); Bachelor's in Nursing with advanced degree preferred; substantial management experience in a healthcare setting.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a current RN in the State of Texas with compact license accepted
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; advanced degree preferred
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support is required
- Minimum 2 years' experience as an RN in specialty area
- 5 years' experience of management including personnel, payroll, budgets, capital, business planning, marketing, physician relations, and supervision
