Job Summary
Nurse Manager role overseeing residents and staff for half of the building under the Director of Nursing. Responsible for originating admission care plans, supervising CNAs/CMAs, assisting with MDS coordination and quarterly assessments, updating the Matrix, conferencing with families, supporting clinic coverage, drawing labs, coordinating telemedicine and dietary changes, assisting in new admissions, training newly hired nurses, attending Medicare/risk meetings, providing staff education, ensuring medication cart accuracy, and performing various duties as assigned. Requires strong leadership in long-term care, excellent communication, and ability to collaborate with therapy, dietitians, and care teams; on-call one weekend per month.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid Kansas LPN or RN license
- Knowledge of Long Term Care
- Good time management
- Ability to work well with people
- Attention to detail
- Strong resident advocate
- Good communication skills
