Job Summary
Lead clinical management of the Ambulatory Surgery Center Preop PACU on a twenty-four-hour basis, ensuring accountability for all nursing practice facets and organizational goals. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to drive quality, patient experience, and efficiency while fostering a diverse, inclusive environment that supports staff retention and development. Manage hiring, performance evaluations, and staff compliance with licenses and certifications. Develop operational budgets, analyze labor productivity data to optimize staffing patterns, and implement policies aligned with accreditation and regulatory standards. Utilize data to drive practice changes, promote evidence-based research, and model advocacy for patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Professional Nurse licensure in New York State
- Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association
- Master's degree in nursing
- At least three years of pertinent clinical practice
- Certification in nursing leadership
- Ability to apply nursing process toward achievement of specific outcomes in an organized fashion to address patient/family satisfaction and quality indicators
- Excellent communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, organization, critical thinking, problem solving, and leadership skills
