Job Summary
Provide direct patient care to residents in assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care. Oversee and monitor the work of nursing assistants on the unit; assist in orientation and training of new LPN/LVN and nursing staff; communicate with the Nurse Manager/Director of Nursing regarding observations and concerns; observe and evaluate residents' health and note significant changes to staff and physicians; perform nursing procedures such as catheter placement and care, colostomy care, suction, dressings, and naso-gastric tubes; participate in shift-change handoffs to ensure accurate resident information; ensure physician orders for diets and therapies are transcribed and communicated appropriately.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school of licensed practical/vocational nursing
- Current license, in good standing, as an LPN/LVN in the State
- One year nursing experience
