Job Summary
Provide expert patient care, health teaching, and counseling while delivering interventions that restore and support well-being in the Perioperative Care Unit. Collaborate with physicians and licensed providers to carry out medical regimens and lead a dedicated care team of nurses and clinical support staff. Participate in professional development opportunities through workshops, in-service training, and ongoing education. Work full-time, 37.5 hours weekly, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with no weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities. Starting hourly rate is $47.58.
Required Qualifications
- License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Equivalent of one (1) year of full-time oncology nursing experience
- Equivalent of one (1) year of full-time critical care experience
- Equivalent of two (2) years of full-time medical-surgical experience in an acute care setting
- Equivalent of one (1) year of full-time medical-surgical experience in an acute care setting and completion of Roswell Park nursing orientation with the ability to function independently at a satisfactory level for three (3) months (full-time) as a Nurse I at Roswell Park
- Incumbents will serve a one (1) year full-time probationary period as a Nurse II
