Job Summary
Provides basic nursing care by assisting in the assessment of the resident on admission and ongoing basis, communicates changes to the IDT, participates in care planning, updates care plans, and implements nursing interventions including medication administration and IV care when certified. Maintains accurate documentation, uses SBARR for physician communication, and supports resident/family education. Requires Licensed Practical Nurse license with IV and CPR/AED certifications and strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills. Location: Belleville, IL; must be able to perform in long-term care/rehab/assisted living settings. May be assigned other duties as appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- Education from an accredited school of nursing resulting in Licensed Practical Nurse
- Current license in the state you will be working as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- IV Certification required or willing to obtain within six months of employment
- Current CPR/AED Certification required or willing to obtain within six months of employment
- Must be able to assess the basic nursing care needs of the geriatric resident
- Excellent communication skills to interact with residents, visitors and staff
- Critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage time and organize tasks
