Job Summary
Implement health programs, provide counseling to students, parents, and staff, and deliver preventive and acute care services. Manage planning for acute, chronic, and emergency health problems, including referrals and follow-through, while coordinating health screenings mandated by Texas State Law. Administer medication, perform state-mandated screenings for vision, hearing, and diabetes risk, and submit immunization records to the Department of State Health Services. Act as a liaison with the school community, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to Diocese policies. Maintain accurate records, anticipate supply needs, and support the school's Catholic educational mission.
Required Qualifications
- Certified in America Heart Association Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation/AED
- Certification as a State Screener in Vision, Hearing, Spinal, and Risk Assessment for Type 2 Diabetes in Children
- Working knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree preferred, but not required
- Bilingual in Spanish/ English preferred
