Nurse - Full Time Day Shift (WG)

Job Summary

Organize and administer individualized patient care in accordance with the multidisciplinary treatment plan and Nurse Practice Act. Conduct written assessments on admission and throughout treatment, documenting bio-psychosocial needs and learning readiness. Formulate nursing care plans based on diagnosis and outcomes, integrating medication, diet, and self-care needs. Administer medications and controlled drugs, order replacements, and ensure infection control and isolation procedures are followed. Respond to emergency situations, direct care for suicidal or aggressive patients, and implement special precautions until transfer. Obtain physician orders accurately, delegate duties to staff based on skill levels, and participate in continuing education and nursing audits. Prepare and certify the midnight census while promoting patient safety through preventative measures.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited BSN, RN, or LPN program
  • Current and unencumbered license as an RN or LPN in this state
  • Strong organization skills with a proven ability to multi-task and manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work in a supportive, caring, and non-judgmental manner with staff and patients in order to gain confidence and cooperation
  • Demonstrated proficiency at educating, communicating, and empathizing with patients, answering questions and concerns in a manner that is respectful
  • Communication and interpersonal skills to develop relationships with patients, staff, and providers
  • Able to problem solve and work effectively with others
  • Able to function calmly in crisis situations
  • Current CPR certification
  • Able to work a variable and flexible schedule
  • Every other weekend commitment

Desired Qualifications

  • Clinical experience in the treatment of addiction is preferred
  • Knowledge of the Bureau of Drug and Alcohol Program and Commission of Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities standards
