Job Summary
Teach assigned nursing courses across classroom, online, clinical, lab, and simulation settings while creating engaging, evidence-based learning experiences. Implement and evaluate curriculum, provide student feedback and remediation, and lead clinical learning to ensure students are practice-ready. Mentor students and new faculty, participate in committees and program evaluation, and engage in scholarly activities such as research and knowledge dissemination. Maintain subject matter expertise through ongoing professional development and enforce student policies regarding exams, attendance, and licensure.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in a field appropriate to the teaching profession
- 2+ years professional experience in a profession related to the teaching discipline
- Excellent communication skills
- Technological expertise with learning management systems, simulation equipment, and online platforms
- Create engaging learning environments
- Exhibit strong conflict management skills
- Emotional and social intelligence to recognize student needs, respond with empathy, and create a supportive, inclusive learning environment
- Maintain current regulatory and practice credentials
- Experientially prepared to teach assigned courses
- Demonstrates scholarship congruent with the level of rank
- Demonstrates at least one example within one of the four following focus areas of professional development and scholarship (Scholarship of Discovery, Scholarship of Integration, Scholarship of Practice/Application, Scholarship of Teaching and Learning)
- Maintain appropriate, active, unencumbered licensure or certification as required to work professionally in the discipline
