Job Summary
Nurse Extern Progressive Care Unit PRN role involving hands-on nursing support within the Progressive Care Unit. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs, wound and catheter care, specimen collection, accurate documentation, patient and family education on care plans, maintaining infection prevention practices, and supporting the nursing team. Opportunity to gain supervised, practical experience as you progress through your nursing program, with growth opportunities and a development plan alongside your supervisor/preceptor. Required: Basic Life Support within 30 days, NC CNA certification, and enrollment in an accredited nursing program. Location: Clyde, NC. This is a PRN, in-person nursing role with responsibilities focused on safe, compassionate patient care and collaboration with the nursing team.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled and in good standing in a nursing program where the controlling institution of the nursing program is accredited under 21 NCAC 36.0302(b)(1).
- NC (CNA) Certified Nursing Assistant
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
