Nurse Extern (PCA)*

Nurse Extern (PCA) performs age-appropriate patient care under an RN preceptor, supports nursing process (assessment, care planning, intervention, evaluation) in a fast-paced hospital setting, and uses previously learned nursing-school skills with competency proof. Maintains communications with RN preceptor, follows LLUMC–Murrieta policies, and contributes to compassionate, culturally competent care while supporting service-excellence and safe patient care. Requires basic nursing knowledge, ability to read/write English (Spanish preferred), proficiency with computers/EMR, teamwork, critical thinking, multitasking, attention to detail, and adherence to scope of practice for unlicensed health care team members.
