Job Summary
Assist registered nurses in direct patient care by performing routine treatment procedures, maintaining safe environments, and supporting activities of daily living. Conduct patient rounds, handle requests, and accurately record symptoms, reactions, and progress while following departmental policies. Provide basic and intermediate care skills under direct supervision, assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges, and act as a patient sitter when assigned. Externs start July 20 or August 3, 2026. BLS certification required. Must be in good standing in a nationally accredited nursing program in the final year of an Associate or Bachelor's degree. Weekend, holiday, and shift rotations required, including critical service during inclement weather and disasters.
Required Qualifications
- Student must be in good standing of a nationally accredited nursing program in their final year of Associate or Bachelors Degree program
- BLS required
- Able to work weekends, holidays, and shift rotations as needed
- Considered critical service during inclement weather and disasters
