Job Summary
Nurse Extern position joining the nursing team to gain hands-on experience as you explore the Registered Nurse role. Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, checking vital signs, supporting mobility, wound and catheter care, specimen collection, accurate documentation, and communicating care updates. You will help patients and families understand care plans, uphold infection prevention standards, and maintain a safe, organized environment while collaborating with your supervisor/preceptor to build your personal career development plan. Qualifications include BLS within 30 days, CNA certification, and enrollment in an accredited nursing program. Benefits are offered by Mission Hospital (an HCA Healthcare facility) and may include comprehensive health, retirement, tuition assistance, and other programs. Location: Clyde, NC, US.
Required Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- CNA Certified Nursing Assistant
- Enrolled in accredited nursing program
