Job Summary
Nurse Extern in General Surgery role providing essential patient care including ADLs, vital signs, wound and catheter care, accurate documentation, and education for patients and families. Collaborates with nursing team and preceptor to build skills toward Registered Nurse responsibilities, while maintaining infection prevention and a safe, organized care environment. Eligible candidates are currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and hold NC CNA certification, with Basic Life Support to be obtained within 30 days of start date.
Required Qualifications
- NC CNA Certified Nursing Assistant
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Currently enrolled and in good standing in a nursing program where the controlling institution of the nursing program is accredited under 21 NCAC 36.0302(b)(1)
