Job Summary
Nurse Extern Fulltime Float delivers high quality, patient-centered care under the supervision of the RN, assisting with ADLs and nursing tasks, documenting patient information, and supporting the nursing staff in a safe, well-organized environment. The Nurse Extern must be enrolled in an accredited RN nursing program and may advance to higher-level procedures as competency is achieved; requires BLS certification and completion of Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 30 days. This role emphasizes compassionate, holistic care, clear communication, and collaboration with the care team, within TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center’s nursing services.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, current (Obtained/maintained within time frames required by hospital policy)
- Must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited RN nursing program
- Can be considered for Nurse Extern after completion of first nursing semester or CNA in first semester of RN program
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Desired Qualifications
