Job Summary
Nurse Extern in the Float Pool is a Day shift, Per Diem role for a nursing student currently enrolled in an RN program. Under the supervision of an RN, the Nurse Extern delivers patient-centered care and assists with nursing functions and activities of daily living. May perform higher-level procedures once competency is achieved and with supervision. When working with an RN 1:1, the extern may be preceptored and perform aspects of patient care deemed competent. The Nurse Extern is expected to convert to an RN position within 4 months or less from graduation; if advancement to RN does not occur, the extern will transfer to an alternate position. Location: West Palm Beach, FL.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled and in good standing in an RN School of Nursing
- has successfully completed a Nursing fundamentals course
