Nurse Extern Emergency Department

Nurse Extern Emergency Department role providing nursing care under RN supervision; supports patient care tasks, vital signs monitoring, and ongoing patient assistance. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, baths, ambulation, feeding, hygiene, and bed management; performing procedures such as dressing changes, ostomy and catheter care, specimen collection, and accurate input/output tracking; maintains compassionate patient interactions, assists with charting and communication within the care team, and helps prepare patients for discharge. Requires current enrollment in an accredited nursing program with completion of first clinical rotation (or up to 90 days post conferral) and Basic Life Support for HealthCare Providers; work involves constant alertness, safe patient handling, and collaboration within the ED team.
