Job Summary
Nurse Extern position supporting direct patient care under supervision of licensed nursing staff. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, basic wound care, specimen collection, and reinforcing education and comfort measures for patients and families. Accurately observe, document, and report changes in patient status in the EMR; collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support coordinated care; uphold infection prevention and HIPAA/privacy requirements; maintain a clean, organized care environment. Ideal for nursing students seeking hands-on clinical experience and growth in a supportive, learning-focused environment with supervision from preceptors and mentors.
Required Qualifications
