Nurse Extern Adult Med Surg PRN

Nurse Extern on a PRN basis supporting the Adult Medical-Surgical unit under RN supervision, assisting with basic patient care activities (vital signs, hygiene, mobility, intake and output) and documentation in the electronic health record. Opportunities to learn and reinforce core nursing skills in a real-world acute care environment, collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members, and pursue pathway toward an RN position with ongoing development and advancement prospects. Role includes variable PRN shifts (evenings, nights, weekends, holidays) to meet patient needs and gain broad experience across patient acuity levels; strong mentorship from experienced nursing staff and a learning environment for nursing students or recent graduates preparing to transition into a Registered Nurse role.
