Nurse Extern Adult Med Surg PRN

Nurse Extern on the Adult Medical-Surgical unit with PRN shifts, working under supervision of a Registered Nurse to support patient-care delivery. Responsibilities include assisting with vital signs, hygiene, mobility, intake and output monitoring, and clinical documentation in the electronic health record, while learning and reinforcing core nursing skills in an acute-care setting. Collaborates with RNs, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team to support care plans and communicate changes in patient status. Provides a pathway toward an RN position with ongoing development and mentorship; opportunities to observe advanced procedures and gain broad experience across varying patient acuity levels. Shifts may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays to meet unit needs.
